Don’t just take our word for it

  • You really change the lives of students for the better. The role you play in shaping students’ futures is amazing. I have never once seen anybody navigate both the objective and emotional sides of college counseling in such an empathetic, organized, and inspiring way. My son ended up getting into 3 Ivies, and now he is happily looking forward to his future at Yale.

  • Denise helped guide me from sophomore to senior year. Even through all my ups and downs, she was there to be my mentor, older sister, and friend. She was always available to me in between sessions, and coached me with compassion. I talked about our sessions to everyone who would listen--my family and friends started to get tired of hearing about them! By the time I was ready to apply to college, I felt calm and prepared. I knew everything would work out. When I received news I was accepted into my first-choice, Early Decision school, Northwestern, she was the first person I called. Even after I got into college, I kept texting her for advice about internships, summer opportunities, and college course registration. She helped me with every single question I had. I couldn’t say more positive things about my experience. Thank you--you changed my life

  • With Jeff's guidance, I was able to successfully transition to a new high school environment that proved to be the perfect fit. He then provided unparalleled support in helping me find the right colleges and perfecting my applications down to the tiniest detail. All the while, he did a great job calming the nerves of both myself and my parents, even after I received my acceptances. I can't thank him enough and look forward to staying in touch in the future.

  • My in-school college counselor told me I would never get into my dream college, Cornell. I didn’t have the best GPA or test scores, and I had learning disabilities that made it difficult to excel on paper. Denise took the time to get to know me. She gave me thoughtful and interesting suggestions, always allowing me to have autonomy over my decisions. I threw myself into extracurriculars, emailed college professors, even interviewed industry professionals at the top of their fields for my podcast. Cornell’s admission statistics would suggest I wouldn’t be the type of student to get in, but today I am a testament to Denise’s mentoring and my determination. I will be graduating from Cornell in 2 years.

  • I spent a lot of time and energy prepping for the SAT with minimal results. I was losing hope. Then I met Jeff, whose innovative approach flipped a switch inside me. Suddenly things clicked. Despite numerous false starts due to test cancellations throughout the year, Jeff kept me calm. I managed to finish over 300 points higher than my PSAT. I needed that score, and can still barely believe I got there. Working with you made all the difference.

  • I was kind of rough around the edges when I met Denise. I was skeptical of the college process, moreso out of fear and anxiety than anything else. Denise greeted me with a smile and asked to hear about who I was as a person. We talked about everything from sports to dogs to hometowns to television shows, and I instantly felt really comfortable. When I showed her my report card, she didn’t once scoff at my lower grades. She hesitated, then said, “I’m really excited to see where you will end up!” All I needed was someone who believed in me and she was that person. Not only did she counsel me during my junior and senior years, but she also directly prepared me for my SAT because we worked well together. I got a score in the mid 1400s, which was hundreds of points above my best test before I started prepping with her. Now I am at Tulane, my dream school, and I couldn’t be more appreciative.
