Denise Yang
Denise Yang has worked in education for over 15 years. A native to southern California, she has a keen understanding of California public/private schools as well as broad expertise in a wide range of other regions. Her students come from all over the world: Japan, China, Norway, Canada, Italy, India, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Arizona, Virginia, D.C., etc. They apply to diverse programs from film schools to military academies to business schools. Denise employs an intuitive college counseling strategy, allowing her students to create authentic narratives based around their personal interests. She has special relationships with her students, many of whom continue to text and call her years after they have graduated from college. Denise’s career average success rate in placing students at their top-choice college is above 93%. Originally from MN, Jeff arrived in Los Angeles to attend USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. While earning his degree, he developed a passion working with students. After more than a decade guiding hundreds of families through the college process as the Director of College Advising and Test Prep at a highly regarded local company, he teamed with longtime friend and collaborator Denise to form ScorePop. With a diverse skillset, Jeff takes a personal approach that both sparks motivation in students and allows them to focus their passions into tangible success, all while keeping the pressure level as low as possible. His results speaks for themselves, with the majority of his students’ families recommending his services to their friends and families.
